The cost of our care depends on your choice of package. A Mini Package covers 1 to 2 days of childcare per week, a Maxi Package covers 3 to 5 days per week.
Fees are calculated per child per month:

To register for Late Birds you do not need a "Hortgutschein".
Explanatory Notes
The monthly costs for our Maxi and Mini Packages are based on the school year from August to June, including holidays. You will not be charged for July. Fees are deducted from your account each month despite absences due to illness, travel, or until you unregister your child from our program.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to sign up for Late Birds for the entire school year?
No! The Mini and Maxi Packages can be adjusted during the school year. A cancellation of the contract is possible at any time during the school year.
Can the contract be cancelled?
Yes, the contract may be terminated in the parent portal or in writing at any time after the contract begins, with one month’s notice prior to the end of the month.
Can you switch from a Maxi Package to a Mini Package during the school year?
Yes, the contract may be reduced to a Mini Package in the parent portal or in writing at any time after the contract begins, with one month’s notice prior to the end of the month.
Can you switch from a Mini Package to a Maxi Package during the school year?
Yes, we offer an upgrade to the Maxi Package immediately. Please change the package in the parent portal and inform us by sending an email.
Does Late Birds offer summer camps?
Yes, we offer three summer camps this summer. You can find more information under Summer Camps 2026.
What happens on school-free days?
On school-free days we offer full-day excursions and activities from 8:45 am to 3:00 pm (included for Maxi; additional costs may apply for Mini packages).
Do you charge extra fees for the daily clubs at Late Birds?
No, of course not. All Late Birds Clubs that take place on regular school days are included in the monthly package fees.
Are the children insured when an accident happens at Late Birds?
The children are insured through the Unfallkasse Berlin. If an accident occurs during childcare hours, a designated accident insurance physician must be consulted (just as with school accidents).
